About

Life is a stage of celebrations. In a way, life IS celebration. A jolly collection of memories all with food in the background. It can be a shake near the pool, a layered cake on your birthday, muffins for the kids snack-to-go, tacos with chips for your potluck contribution, and can be the sumptuous romantic dinner before he kneeled and proposed.

I have learned that memories can be relived by sharing well-loved meals. Childhood revisited with the good old recipe from grandma. Acquaintances made through exchange of recipes. Guys can have their sports night out with their lady friends doing their weekly cookfest activity.

Celebrating life with Shey Online Cooking Schools blog

It all started with a new year's resolution to up my mental activity by learning more recipes. Started posting photos of recipes done in my FB early of this year. Not for vanity but for affirmation of my resolution. Had a good following and comments plus friends asking for the recipes. Then came my weekly email subscription from Bo Sanchez about online learning. Alas, I was introduced to Jomar Hilario's Online Mentoring Club. Passioned with my drive of learning something new and fear of what future financially might bring at old age, this resulted to this Online Cooking School blog. A semi-passive income I can collect on when I grow old.

I have received a number of questions as to why I have been sharing my own tested recipes. I can't bring my recipes to the grave. I have learned by asking, testing and experimenting. I have lost a number of notebooks with baking recipes in it. This is one way of paying it forward and marking the recipes on the web where I can't lose it. I may not be able to learn and cook everything, but I know foodies like me will be able to contribute and comment for us to make a perfect recipe.

"Treat yourself by having flowers or a bottle of your favorite champagne on hand and just consider celebrating life. Keep some of your favorite foods in the refrigerator and indulge. Eat a hot fudge sundae. Little things go a long way here." - Maria Wieder (Living a Rich Life)
