What makes the chicken nuggets a kids favorite? Nearly all kids adore chicken nuggets this is not only because of their crispy coating. Their bite-sized dimensions make them ideal for dipping. Serve chicken nuggets with mayonnaise, ketchup or barbecue sauce for a mouthwatering dinner.

A chicken nugget is a molded piece of chicken product, breaded or battered, then fried or baked. Fast food restaurants typically deep fry their nuggets in vegetable oil.

The chicken nugget is a meat product that was invented in the 1950s by Robert C. Baker, a food science professor at Cornell University, and published as unpatented academic work. Dr. Baker's innovations made it possible to form chicken nuggets in any shape. McDonald's recipe for Chicken McNuggets was created on commission from McDonald's by Tyson Foods in 1979 and the product was sold beginning in 1980.

Instead of visiting your local fastfood for this much loved food, you can easily make it at home. Here's how:

Ingredients:

1/2 kilo boneless chicken breast
salt and pepper
2 eggs

Procedure:

1. In a bowl, beat the eggs and add salt and pepper.

2. Cut the chicken breasts into 1 1/2 thin sized pieces so it will cook easily. Put all cut chicken pieces into the egg mixture and leave for 30 minutes (minimum).

3. Heat up a pan with oil for deep frying.

4. Roll each chicken piece into bread crumbs before deep frying. Fry for less than 2 minutes or until it reaches a golden color. Transfer on a plate lined with paper towel to drain.

For dipping: Pick your own choice from catsup, mayonnaise, chili sauce or my very own dip for all.
